Construction scheme of impervious geomembrane in reservoir

Construction plan for reservoir anti-seepage geotextile membrane:

Qualified acceptance of lower structure - Cleaning - Transportation of geotextile - Spreading - Cutting - Trial welding - Formal welding - Welding quality inspection (non-destructive and destructive testing) - Paving of river cloth - Prefabricated concrete blocks for pressure protection.

The geotextile membrane is lifted by an 8-ton transport vehicle with its own lifting facilities, and manually laid and adjusted with a weld overlap width of 10 cm.

The laying shall follow the sequence of "first in the middle, then around", "first at the head of the warehouse, then at the tail of the warehouse", and "continuous construction of adjacent blocks". Avoid forming cross shaped joints during laying, and the distance between T-shaped joints should not be less than 3 meters.

In response to the selection of anti-seepage schemes for reservoirs for on-site construction, as well as issues related to early repair and treatment during water storage, in order to further improve the quality control measures for geotextile membrane construction and enhance its applicability in the hydropower industry, the following suggestions are proposed:

(1) The quality of geosynthetic membrane raw materials is the key to the anti-seepage effect of geosynthetic membranes. It is necessary to strengthen the control of raw material batching, online monitoring and testing during the production process of geosynthetic membranes, and strictly prohibit the addition of backfill and filling materials during the production process.

(2) When using geomembrane for anti-seepage in the filling area at the bottom of the reservoir, the harm caused by uneven settlement of the filling body should be fully considered, especially the treatment of the joint between the geomembrane and surrounding buildings, to avoid stress concentration caused by uneven deformation and tearing the geomembrane, thereby damaging the geomembrane anti-seepage system.

(3) Strengthen on-site construction management and protect the finished products of geomembranes, strictly control the construction process, and prevent artificial damage to geomembranes during or after the paving process.
